Common questions
How is Guard/Reserve drill pay calculated?
Each drill (a "UTA" — unit training assembly) pays 1/30 of the active-duty monthly basic pay for your rank and years of service. A standard drill weekend is 4 drills, so a weekend pays 4/30 of a month's basic pay. Uses the same 2026 basic pay table as active duty.
Do I get BAH and BAS on drill weekends?
Generally no. Inactive-duty training (regular drills) pays basic pay only — no BAH or BAS. Annual Training (AT) and other active-duty orders are different: those can include allowances. This calculator estimates the basic-pay portion.
What's the difference between drills and Annual Training?
Drills are your monthly weekend obligation (typically 4 drills/weekend, ~48 drills a year). Annual Training (AT) is a longer active-duty period, usually about two weeks, paid at your full daily basic pay rate. This tool estimates both.
