What could your TSP grow to?
Educational estimate, not investment advice. Assumes a constant annual return compounded monthly and level contributions; it doesn't model pay raises, fund choice, fees, or market swings. Your results will differ.

Common questions
How does the TSP match work under the Blended Retirement System?
Under BRS, the government automatically puts in 1% of your basic pay whether you contribute or not. On top of that it matches your own contributions: dollar-for-dollar on the first 3% you put in, then 50 cents per dollar on the next 2%. So if you contribute at least 5% of basic pay, you get the full 5% government contribution (1% automatic + 4% matched). Contribute less than 5% and you leave part of that free money on the table.
How much can I contribute to the TSP in 2026?
The 2026 elective-deferral limit is $24,500 of your own contributions (up from $23,500). The government match is on top of that. If you deploy to a combat zone, special rules let you contribute even more, and Roth TSP contributions from tax-free combat pay are tax-free coming out too.
Is legacy High-3 the same?
No. If you're under the older High-3 (Final Pay/High-3) retirement system, you get NO government match on your TSP — you keep 100% of what you contribute and its growth, but there's no 1% automatic or matching. This modeler lets you pick your system.
